As host of the show, along with Liliana Escobar,
Jon seems to be everywhere at once – and that’s how he likes it. “I can go
anywhere and interact with anyone in the audience who is interested in learning
about the circus. And it’s a real pleasure to preside over our fans’ backstage
visit during the FREE All Access Pre-show I love playing a part in
creating lasting memories like these.”
A former clown and human cannonball with The Greatest Show On Earth®, Jon’s
fame has recently spread as half of the most popular team to ever compete on Amazing
Race , the CBS television reality show.
Jon is a native of Port Washington, New York, and in 1986 married his high
school sweetheart – lovely Laura, a production woman in this show – in front of
16,000 people in Madison Square Garden. They have two sons, eleven-year-old
Johnny and six-year-old Max, and a daughter Nicole, who’s eight. On tour with Ringling
Bros.® last year, the Weisses logged 26,000 miles in their RV. “We’re
lucky to be a family that gets to spend so much time together,” says Jon. “And
our children have seen so much of their country. On tour, they’re very ably
schooled by a certified teacher who travels with the show. But we’ve also been
making a special effort to take them – and us, too – to our great national
parks. That’s a facet of education few children get to experience.
