Meet Lucky Malatsi, a South Africa–born, second-generation circus star who now calls Dora, Alabama home. Lucky is trained in acrobatics, aerial arts, trampoline, and the high-thrill Wheel of Destiny, and he has even taken center stage as Ringmaster for two different circuses.
A lifelong DJ and former street performer, Lucky’s earliest memory of Ringling comes from watching Bellobration and dreaming of joining its legacy. Today, that dream is his reality.
When he’s not performing, you’ll find him exploring new cities on tour or enjoying his favorite on-the-road snack: gummy bears. He also speaks two of his native languages, just in case he needs to hype up the crowd in more than one way.
